Christina Marie Cuseo & John Michael Gudzik

Christina and John started off as friends and coworkers, but realized there was something between them when they started going out on their own, without their mutual friends. The midnight premiere of the final Harry Potter film installment sealed the deal, and they’ve been together ever since. Five years later, while playing miniature golf on a vacation in Maine, John proposed at the 18th hole. He had always joked that Christina’s engagement ring would be from a gumball machine, and lo and behold, he presented her with a pink ring from the quarter machine. Justice of the Peace Jon Weingarten officiated the ceremony at the Westport Inn, where the reception also followed. John’s favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys, were playing the day of the wedding. As an homage to the team, cowbells were available for “good luck” ringing. The bride is the daughter of Teresa and Peter Cuseo of Westport. She works in retail sales here in Westport. The groom is the son of Nancy Gudzik of Fairfield and the late John Gudzik. He received his bachelor’s degree in business management from Central Connecticut State University. He is currently a store team leader at The Paper Store in Norwalk. The newlyweds plan to honeymoon in Alaska this summer. They call Westport home.
